In honor of all souls day, at the time when the veil between us and our Ancestors is the thinnest, we come together to create a day long Ceremony to focus on feeding, embracing, and acknowledging our roots to allow what sustains and sets us free to come forth. 

How we move forward is tied to how we deal with our past and our Ancestors. We have come to this moment in time in part because of the choices of our ancestors. In this daylong ceremony we create an opportunity to give thanks and forgive our Ancestors in particularly if our relationships with them have been confusing.

Do we sustain ourselves in our limited expression trying to fit in and hope we will be loved by our parents by making choices based in fear and belief or do we sustain our authentic self who makes choices based on love, intuitive knowing, and walks in a love relationship with the Mother? And what if what sustains us is our ability to embrace what comes our way and to love what is? And what if that sets us free?

We will answer these questions through ceremony and ritual.

~Making of the Ancestor’s House …Ritual burning & letting go of what no longer serves us.

We will end our time together in joy and celebration of all the gifts that have come into our lives …making way for the abundance to come…learning the truth that we are needed and loved every day. 

Our Ancestors are always with us…we are the ones to remember and honor them so we might work with the Seen and Unseen worlds as we walk on the beauty path.  We are never alone.

This is a SCENT, drug, alcohol, smoke free event.

Come celebrate the Samhain harvest and honor our Ancestors with Sacred Drum,Chant and Dance with the MOTHER DRUM in the four directions using Native American, Goddess and Celtic teachings.

 

 Do something a little different this Halloween and celebrate the true meaning of the season as we rejoice in the Harvest and gather to remember and honor our Ancestors, who came before us and paved our way.

 Please bring all kinds of drums and rhythm instruments and join your tribe as we celebrate the sacred circle of life during the time leading up to this powerful cross quarter gateway.  Please bring a snack to share with the Tribe. Thank you.

 If you wish, come and remember your ancestors with a photo to put on our Remembrance Altar (be sure and take this personal article home with you at the end of the night).

 

Cost:$20, Children $5 ( ages 10 and up)

And please think about bringing canned or dry goods for a local food pantry. Feed those in need while we feed our spirits with gratitude and joy as we gather to Re-Member.

Fall has arrived.  The smell of the first wood fires, baking apple and pumpkin pies and bursts of crimson and orange on the trees.  The light is golden at dusk and the slanting shadows from the trees tell us that the days are growing shorter and the nights are growing longer.
Time to give thanks for the Harvest.
Join the Tribe in an intimate setting with the **Mother Drum and her last time at Art of Healing this year.
We had a powerful evening in August and wanted to hold a sacred drum and chant circle one last time with the Mother Drum before she goes into hibernation.
We hope you can join us.
We will travel round the 4 directions of the Medicine Wheel and honor each direction with invoking the element and their totems with sacred drum and chant.

When the Sun is in Virgo… it is time for the harvest…time to harness our minds and focus on our work , learning and healing. We can now hone in on our profund Mind- Body- Spirit connections through Spiritual ceremony and gatherings.

What do you want to give back to the Mother Earth to replenish Her?

Arrive SCENT free. Wear comfortable loose clothing for movement and bring frame drums and shakers.
Also bring a chair or backjack if you need one. We will be lying on a rug so bring a yoga mat or blanket if you will be more comfortable.

Weather permitting… we will end our circle with a processional to the fire to feed the fire with corn meal and all of our gratitude and hope for the World.

Winter has taken us deep. In the chill of ice as the cold winds blow and the frost slows all movement.  As the wheel turns and the wheel of life slows down during the Yuletide and the coming of the Winter Solstice, we enter the cave to dream and tend the fires.
  Only the bright stars in the cold clear night time sky remembers and move to the rhythms of the Earth.
All is connected and we slumber in our caves and dream.
